Denali National Park and Preserve

This 24,585 square kilometer American National Park is located in central Alaska and includes Denali, the highest peak in North America (6,190 meters). This region is also home to a wide variety of birds and mammals, such as grizzly bears, black bears and caribou.

Sawyer Glaciers

At the end of the Tracy Arm, a fjord near the town of Juneau, are the twin Sawyer Glaciers (the North and the South). In addition to presenting exceptional northern landscapes, the surroundings are teeming with bears, wolves, seals and a wide variety of birds.

Mendenhall Ice Cave

Located a few kilometers from downtown Juneau, the splendid Mendenhall Valley is home to an imposing glacier (19 kilometers long) of the same name. The latter hides in its heart a spectacular ice cave that can be discovered on foot.

Wrangell National Park, St. Elijah

This park in Southern Alaska is located in a biosphere reserve and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At 53,321 square kilometers, it is the largest national park in the United States, in addition to comprising hundreds of glaciers.

Matanuska Glacier

At 39 kilometers long and 6.4 kilometers wide, Matanuska is the largest glacier accessible by car in the United States, from March to the end of October. Active, it advances about thirty centimeters a day.

Katmai National Park and Preserve

This remarkable natural park in southwestern Alaska is known for its volcanoes, including Mount Katmai, and its large colony of brown bears. The park has the largest population in the world with nearly 2,200 brown bears congregating at Brooks Falls to catch migrating salmon.

Kenai Fjords National Park

Located in the south of the state, this national park includes some 40 glaciers, 23 species of marine mammals and 20 species of seabirds. Visitors have the chance to discover varied landscapes including bays, fjords and rocky islets, in addition to seals, sea lions and humpback whales.

Northern Lights in Fairbanks

Due to its northern geographical position, Alaska is a perfect place to observe the Northern Lights. At the right distance from the North Pole and the magnetic fields, the city of Fairbanks is a perfect place to discover these mysterious lights.

Hubbard Glacier

Named after businessman Gardiner Hubbard, this glacier is found in eastern Alaska. Its sensational color makes it a state staple!

Glacier Bay National Park

Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this national park is home to many animals including grizzly bears, red foxes, lynxes and cougars. These landscapes of fjords and ice fields are also home to endangered species such as the humpback whale or the Steller sea lion.
