Anyway, the Russian Blue appeared in France at the very beginning of the 20th century and its breed was recognized from the mid-1980s. Character and behavior of the Russian Blue – Who is it for?
The Russian Blue is a calm, quiet, gentle cat who appreciates his comfort. Very attached to his master, he can spend hours lying at his feet. He likes to stay quiet in his house, near the radiator in winter. The presence of children who make noise disturbs the Russian Blue, a cat who appreciates silence and tranquility more than agitation. Because of his shyness, he can be suspicious of people outside his family.
The Russian Blue, on the other hand, accepts the presence of other animals very well. This cat adapts very well to an apartment, but if it has a garden, it can exercise its hunting skills and be playful and lively.
